Is Lionbridge Work From Home A Scam? Hell NO, But…

Lionbridge Review
Your friend might want to know about this:

On the lookout for legitimate websites that can help you pay the bills? Well, I got you covered. In this article, I will take you by the hands and walk you through as we answer the question:

Is Lionbridge work from home a scam, or is it the real deal? 🤔

The pandemic has undoubtedly disrupted the operations of many major companies worldwide. According to Business Insider, some of these businesses have no choice but to downsize their workforce through a mass layoff.

With that being said, more and more people turn into online opportunities and gigs to earn enough to support their daily needs.

Luckily, the internet is filled with income-generating streams, but unfortunately, finding the best online opportunities can become a daunting task.

When it comes to online side hustles, the opportunities are practically endless. Yup, you heard it correctly, endless.

In fact, there are thousands of mobile applications, freelancing sites, and paying platforms, all offering its users equal chances to earn anywhere between $0.05 to even a thousand dollars and more.

One example of that is the much-hyped company with the name Lionbridge Technologies, Inc.

A quick Facebook search on some of the top work from home job platforms can show you that Lionbridge has been one of the most discussed flexible jobs available for the past couple of years.

Lionsbridge basically seems to be one of the strongest rivals of some leading crowdsourcing brands such as AppenHogarthTeemwork, and Clickworker.

Before I head on to my Lionsbridge Work From Home review, let me be completely transparent with you.

I am in no way, shape, or form connected with Lionbridge Technologies, so you can rest assured that I won’t try to pitch or persuade you to join their pool of professionals.

To help you choose the best online ventures that are worth your time and effort, I conduct unbiased reviews on this blog intending to expose specific money-making opportunities.

In line with that, this article is dedicated to revealing why Lionbridge is making the most intense buzz lately and whether it is an outright scam or a legit opportunity. If you are ready to hear what I have to say, then off we go! 🚀 🚀 🚀

What is Lionbridge?

Living true to its name, Lionbridge has been making resounding roars online with promising advertisements from most of its online contractors. Is it the actual “bridge” that can fill the gap in our work from home setup? Let’s read down below.

Lionbridge Technologies is an American-based company that offers localization and AI training data services for prestigious companies worldwide.

Its best known for “breaking barriers and building bridges” between companies and their target market through exceptional services such as content development, translation, quality assurance and testing, and AI services.

What makes this brand name such a force is that significant recognitions from reputable agencies back it.

In fact, the company was recognized by The Conference Board in 2019 for being the most innovative company in terms of employee engagement.is Lionbridge work from home a scamIn addition to that, Lionbridge was also named one of America’s 100 most trustworthy companies by Forbes. With its recognitions and achievements, it is safe to say that the company is indeed as legitimate as it can be.

Its main office is based in Waltham, Massachusetts, USA, where it was founded in 1996. It maintains over 27 major branches in different countries, making it one of the biggest and most diverse companies in the translation and localization industry.

Speaking of diversity, Lionbridge directly serves specific industries such as those related to life sciences, banking, retail and e-commerce, gaming, automotive, technology, manufacturing, legal services, and travel and hospitality.

The company has been around for more than 20 years providing flexible work from home opportunities through Smart Crowd (formerly called Virtual Bee), the company’s dedicated job platform.

Lionbridge utilizes state of the art cloud technologies allowing remote workers to do their micro-tasks anywhere in the world with flexibility.

Despite its online popularity, its social media accounts sport a varying number of followers – (1) 36,862 on Facebook, (2) 3,032 on Instagram, (3) 14,400 on Twitter, (4) 1,066 on YouTube, and (5) 189,267 on LinkedIn.

How does Lionbridge work?

Basically, Lionbridge offers to help companies localize and fine-tune their existing content with the help of a specific set of crowd workers.

The crowd working industry usually attracts younger people, housewives, or retirees who would like to earn additional income through mini-tasks or micro-jobs, which can be quickly completed.

In line with that, Lionbridge basically exists for two major entities: (1) companies looking to outsource jobs and (2) the crowd workers. But in this article, let us focus more on the second entity.

When it comes to crowdsourcing, there is a variety of work available. As of writing, the website’s top jobs are related to the internet, social media, advertisement assessment (for specific languages), content development, and data processing.

There are about 89 available jobs, but again, your chances for working on one depends on three factors:

  1. Your skills ✔️
  2. Your location ✔️
  3. The languages you know ✔️

Lionbridge supports its global community of remote workers through the Smart Crowd.

This website platform actively recruits members from all walks of life and connects relevant tasks depending on how suited you are based on your application results.

That means that there is no guarantee that you will have a regular assignment with the company.

Depending on the job’s complexity, you can earn as low as $5 to as high as $75 per task. The payments are usually deposited directly into your account, depending on the project.

Some projects pay around the 15th, while some pay on the 30th. On the other hand, if the project is not a long-term one, you can be paid instantly once you have completed the task.

As a word of advice, do not jump the gun too soon. 🙂

You may have heard of other people saying that you can earn hundreds (or even thousands) of dollars through this website alone, but let me tell you that this is just a stinky over-exaggeration.

Lionbridge works but not as an alternative for your day job since it is more of a side hustle. If you’re serious about replacing your 9-5, then you’re better off building your own $6000 a month online business instead.

How to join Lionbridge?

Do you think you have what it takes to take on a task as a contract worker in Lionbridge too? Here are some of the requirements:

•  Fluent in your native language ✔️

•  Fluent in English ✔️

•  You need to have exceptional internet research skills ✔️

•  You must have a computer and a smartphone with fast internet connection ✔️

•  Must be at least 18 years of age ✔️

Interested in joining the Lionbridge? You can do so by simply registering through the Smart Crowd’s site for free.

However, let me advise you that the application process can be quite long, just like any legit jobs out there. Failure to complete the application process will result in a processing delay.

Once you have completed the application, you will receive job offers through your email.

I love about Lionbridge because, as a crowd worker, you have the freedom to choose whether you want to skip, do the offered job, or apply for your desired task.

However, do not expect that you will have job opportunities every day. You may not know this, but the crowdsourcing industry is becoming even more competitive, given that many people are applying as of present.

As a quick tip, be sure to demonstrate your very best during the placement evaluation and exams.

You see, the varieties of tasks and the compensations that you can get will heavily depend on how well you will do on the evaluation.

Let’s say that you are really looking forward to working as an online assessor. Then make sure to go through some of the readily available references and guides from Youtube and Google.

You may also check out some of the exam samples to feel about the coverage and structure of the evaluation.

Can you make money with Lionbridge? 🧐

Assuming that you did well on your placement evaluation, then there is a big possibility that you can really earn a lot from Lionbridge.

When I say “a lot,” that means it can augment your earning potential by having additional money, but it is not an alternative for a real job. For instance, some translation and assessment jobs can pay you as high as $35 to $75!

But if you did not do well, Lionbridge can still offer you easier tasks such as data entry or website/mobile testing. Completing those will probably grant you around $3 to $10.

As I have highlighted in the previous part of the article, your earning will depend on your hired task.

I also love Lionbridge because the task page already contains relevant information such as the requirements, the compensation, and the project duration.

😈 Is Lionbridge work from home a scam? 😈

So, is Lionsbridge work from home a scam ? Hell NO, I clearly can say that Lionbridge work from home is not a scam. This can be reflected by how connected it is to leading brands in the market such as Google, Samsung, CBS, and even Cisco (just to name a few).

Do I recommend it? Well, yeah! If you have some spare time here and there and you’re looking for some extra cash, then I am surely recommending Lionsbridge.

If you are looking forward to relying on this for income, you might want to read further down to see how you can make a real living from the comfort of your home rather than spend time on this one.

How I make a living online (And how you can too 🤑)

Don’t get me wrong, I sincerely like Lionsbridge. 😊

I genuinely believe that it’s an excellent platform for people looking to make some extra cash by doing side hustles that require some level of expertise and experience, but I think I have something better for you.

The alternative business model I’m referring to is called affiliate marketing and is one of the most common ways people earn online. ( and there’s a good reason behind that)

It’s very novice-friendly, doesn’t require significant upfront investments, and the thing I love the most about it is the fact it becomes passive as time goes by.

My journey in affiliate marketing is somewhat similar to the experiences of a crowd worker. The only difference is that I don’t have to bother to apply for tasks since I’ve mastered the art of building and managing small (yet effective) affiliate marketing blogs.

And do you know what the best part is? I can teach you how to do the same. 🤩

I’m not saying it will be, but If you answer YES to all of the four following questions, then affiliate marketing might be perfect for you as well. Here they are:

  1. Are you seriously thinking of earning online?
  2. Do you want to build a passive income source of work actively?
  3. Are you looking for a flexible working schedule?
  4. Do you think you have what it takes?

Affiliate marketing is one of the simplest business models that has a track record of helping many newbies like yourself to earn their first four figures of passive income online.

Don’t believe me? Take a look for yourself. 👈

I’m not trying to fool you, and you can trust me on that. I’m just trying to introduce you to the business model that helped me to quit my lousy 9-5 and live my life on my terms.

I’m not saying that affiliate marketing is easy and a get-rich-quick scheme. Contrary to that, it requires a lot of patience, persistence, dedication, and hard work, above all else.

Are you wondering what kind of work you will be doing as an affiliate marketer? Well, wonder no more because the answer is quite simple – you’ll be building blogs like the one you are on now.

Same as you, I was once a guy that knew nothing about building sites, search engine optimization, affiliate links, sales, and so forth.

However, luckily for me, I stumbled upon one of the most supportive affiliate marketing communities, which was a turning point for me.

You see, the community I’m talking about goes by the name of Wealthy Affiliate and is perhaps one of the most trustworthy, reliable, and legit platforms that you can take part in. Is Lionsbridge LegitThe WA family taught me everything I know of affiliate marketing. They showed me the exact step-by-step formula for planting, growing, and nurturing an affiliate marketing blog, and they can help you do the same.

Wealthy Affiliate is free to sign up with, meaning that the chance of you being scammed does not exist. You can test the platform free of cost, without worrying whether someone will try to steal all of your hard-earned money.

As I end this article, I would like to thank you for joining me as I shed light on the truth behind the question, “is Lionbridge work from home a scam?”

  1. Thank you so much for taking your time to enlighten us on Lionbridge.

I have been surfing, trying to find such an online opportunity to work from home.

Let me disclose to you that I am locked up in an exile where there is no opportunity. Now let join this platform, and I would like to request further guidance.

I will also join you in WA.

    1. If I were you, I’d probably focus on one at a time. You won’t be able to manage both at once, and I’m speaking from experience.

Feel free to reach out to me if there’s some way I can help.

  2. Hello, thank you for the extensive review.

The one thing that worried me, though, is that they ask for a lot of info in your application: ssn, address, dob, everything. Is it really safe to throw all of that in the application?

    Thanks!

  3. Gorjan, thank you for a good article about Lionbridge. I have just heard the name before but didn´t know anything about what this company until reading your article. I think you have provided a good overview of the job opportunities and requirements needed to become a crowd worker for Lionbridge. Especially I like the fact that you highlight what you can expect earning from Lionbridge in realistic terms and not any fictional numbers. And also that you highlight that you have to take some tests to let Lionbridge map your abilities to which work offers they can assign you.

As a side hustle to a regular job, I think Lionbridge is a great opportunity. It can provide assets to invest in leveraging a career as an affiliate marketer. I am an affiliate marketer myself, learning the trade from Wealthy Affiliate which is a great platform to start and continue to learn digital marketing. It has all the tools and features anyone need to make a career in digital marketing.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge by a well-written review of Lionbridge and the opportunity that Wealthy Affiliate provides.

    1. Hey, Ron!

I’m so glad that you liked my Lionsbridge review, and I’ll make sure to find you and reach out to you inside WA. Until then, feel free to wander around my blog since I’m sure that you’ll find many posts that will benefit you!

All the best to you and stay safe!

  4. Thanks for this review. As you say it is not a scam and it is a great way to earn extra income, but if people want to earn a full time income, affiliate marketing is the best way to start.

  5. Is Lionbridge similar to Fiverr or is it completely different? And are the tasks they offer mainly in the area of reviewing or did I understand you wrong?

I am wondering if Lionbridge is also applicable to a graphic designer?

I like that fact that more competition is coming because of crowd working. Because there will also be more places that will act as a convenience place with desk, computers and internet to hire for a short time only. For travellers that’s ideal, and so might working for Lionbridge be.

    Thanks for this review!

    1. Hey, Hannie! 😊

I wouldn’t neccesarily say that it’s the same site as Fiverr, but you can most definitely find a job at Lionbridge as a graphic designer. As a matter of fact, many designers are sharing their experiences working there, and you can read some of the reviews if you follow the link that I just highlighted.

  6. Hey,

Thank you for shedding lights on Lionbridge work from home website.

I believe what helps a lot is to start your journey in whatever you want to do with the right expectations.

This is what keeps you motivated in the long run.

I wonder if there’s some sort of statistics made in terms of the percentage of affiliate marketers existing in the world and what portion of them are succeeding?

If you have any idea, I would appreciate it if you point me in the right direction.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Cheers,

    Ionut

    1. I once read a study that every 1 out of 10 people manages to achieve a decent income with affiliate marketing.

However, don’t let these statistics fool you because it isn’t as easy as it sounds.

Affiliate marketing is a legit way to make money online, but it requires you to put in a lot of effort to rip the benefits that this business model offers.

Join Wealthy Affilaite (the membership is free) and I’ll reach out to you. 💯

  7. Thanks for the great review of Lionbridge, you provided very useful information. It’s a great opportunity for some extra income, but it really depends on what skills you have and what jobs are currently on offer.

Wealthy Affiliate, however, I also warmly recommend to anyone considering serious work on the internet. I’ve been a member of Wealthy Affiliate for quite some time now, and I can personally vouch for the legitimacy of the platform!

    1. Hey Nina, yet another WA member on my blog! It’s like you’re stalking me. 😂

Lionbridge is a great work from home opportunity, but it’s only good for people who don’t mind working in a 9-5 job, growing other people’s businesses.

I prefer working for myself, and that’s why I took this path and choose Wealthy Affiliate instead! (and now I’m recommending it to other likeminded people)

  8. Hello, great review you have here. While starting with WA for affiliate marketing sound like a great idea, I must find a way to make some money, and I might do that by signing up to Lionsbridge.

Hopefully, I can make some money and continue with just my WA website afterwards. Thank you for sharing this information with us,

    Lyne

    1. That sounds like a great idea, Line! I even suggest doing them both simultaneously, if you feel like you can manage. It may be hard at first, but I’m sure you’ll be able to handle it.

  9. This Lionsbridge review is very informative, and I applaud you for it. You’ve done one hell of a job, as always.

Thanks G, and keep up the good work!

  10. Hi there,

Well based on your review, Lionbridge certainly seems like a legitimate company.

In fact, I am always appreciative of what freelancing sites can offer.

This is an ideal way for someone very new to working online to “dip their toe into the water”, but as you say this is typically good for a side-hustle, or to earn a little bit of extra cash.

With that said, I first started online some 11 years ago by “pimping” out my writing services via a very similar type of company.

Due to my background in writing I was able to secure a few long-term contracts, which turned out to be extremely lucrative.

So, a company like Lionbridge is certainly a viable option for many people.

However, I always wanted to work for myself online, be my own boss if you will.

I actually turned to affiliate marketing as well, and you are perfectly correct – with the correct training, following the right people (such as yourself), and plenty of hard work you can produce an amazing business all of your own.

    Thanks
    Partha

    1. I can’t thank you enough for taking the time to leave this comment since it just confirmed what I was trying to elaborate on in my post. You’re a living proof that sites like Lionbridge work, but even more so, affiliate marketing.

I just sent you an e-mail and would love nothing more than to connect with you to share some of our experiences as affiliates.

Hope to hear from you soon, and stay safe!
